Story Plot Summary

I watched this series quite a long time ago already. Just want to review as simple as i can.

The story is between two detective Cheung Dai yong and Lee chung yee. In this first installment,  if not mistaken, Chung Yee is newbie while Dai yong is senior in detective.

They together solve cases that involve people surrounding them.

Dai yong and Gigi (louisa so) is ex couple and best friend. Gigi has a son with a man, but the man left her and the daughter. Dai yong act as a responsible god-father and care for Gigi and  her son, but not in romantic ways.

Jesse is a reporter, always write about murder cases, so she always come to the murder incident place. She always come across with Daiyong and cheung yee. Jesse has a boyfriend, a crime forensic officer if not mistaken. 

Later , many incidents happened. Jesse broke up with his boyfriend and start to like Daiyong. meanwhile, Gigi goes through love-hate relationship with cheung yee and finally couple with him 

Characters

Daiyong (micheal tao)- a senior detective, very intelligent and have fast and critical thinking. Very rude in way of talking, but actually have a very good heart. I really like micheal tao in this series. Totally deserved recognition 

Cheung yee (joey leung) - a junior detective still in process of learning. But he have a very good sense of detective. Totally like him here, totally have best on screen partner with daiyong.

Jesse ( kenix kwok) - very loveable character. She is very brave, and very direct towards her feeling. I like her character in this first installment.

Gigi (louisa so).  - because of past experience and her son, she want to marry a rich man. Initially never want cheung yee because hes not rich, but later realize that she loves cheung yee .

Love story

Daiyong & jesse - initially didnt like each other and always bickering. But later, jesse broke up with his boyftiend and found new love with daiyong. I Really like this pair

 

Cheung yee & Gigi - a sweet couple match-up. Eventhough Gigi attitude not very likeable, but she made a perfect other half for Cheung yee.

Cases 

The first installment only have 20 episodes. So theres few cases only (4or5 not remember).

But all murder cases quite suspenful and dark. The supporting cast not very notable in this first installment. All cases quite good in this series.

Verdict

-I really like all the characters in the series. The love pairing and love story also very fresh.

-The cases are good and quite upredictable.

- The ending is continued to the second installment of the series 

- Watch if u are a fan of micheal tao, joey leung , kenix kwok

- watch if u are a fan of hong kong detective series

Im not regret watching this 20 episode series

Overall 8/10
